Shanghai Navigation Aids Factory (SNAF)is a solely funded subcompany of CHEC,China Harbour Company (Group).In 1988,SNAF became one of the industrial members of the Intermational Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA).

Our factory has a history of more than 50 years in designing, manufacturing,installation and maintenance of aids to navigation.At persent,SNAF includes a main factory and several branches."SNA"products in Aids to Navigation include all kinds of Buoys used in inland waterway and in the sea , the Buoy Anchor Chains , Towers,Lantern Houses,Lanterns and Radar Beacons. SNAF can also design and produce all kinds of Pressure Vessels, Industrial Micro-wave Equipment and a large variety of light-source such as Metal Halide light series, Dy Light series and other light equipment.

For several ten years,our factory has built a series of workmanship and standard in designing,manufactuing and installation for securing the product quality.All products from our factory are in accordance with related State Standard and Ministry of Communications Standard in manufacture and test. Our factory fulfilled the projects of mavigational aids of DA YA BAY nuclear power station in Guang Dong province,GAO LAN port navigational aids in Zhu Hai and the Vessel Traffice Light system of Ge Zhou Ba in Yangzi river from desigming, manufacturing to installation. Meanwhile, some of our products were awarded the title of High Quality Products of Shanghai, the ministry of Communications or the Scientific Research Achievement Prize of Ministry of Communications. And also, some products from our factory have already been awarded Chinese State Patent. In 2000, we got ISO-9001 Quality System Certificate.

From 1950's, our products began to be exported to Korea, Vietnam, Albania etc. Since 1980's our factory has successfully designed and manufactured 90mm, 155m, and 300mm Lanterns, TS series flashers for aids to navigation and LED lanterns. Then navigation aids have been exported abroad more frequently to Mauritania, US, UK, Mexico, Singapore, Holland, Nigeria and Vietnam. In 1996, we fulfilled the project of the third-term inland waterway in Bangladesh as the chief contractor identity. The 'SNA' aids to navigation have already got good reputation in the international market by this series of products and projects.
